LG Electronics has unveiled its new CLOiD robot at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026 in Las Vegas.

This autonomous, AI-powered robot is designed to simplify household chores. CLOiD can take milk out of the refrigerator, place food in the oven to prepare breakfast, start washing cycles, and fold and stack clothes after drying.

An executive highlighted the goal: "Our objective is to make home life less effort by having CLOiD perform complex tasks and enrich them to make them more pleasant and expand user assistance."

The robot, featuring a head, a torso with two articulated arms, and a base with wheels for autonomous navigation, can adjust its height by leaning over, allowing it to pick up objects. CLOiD's arms and hands emulate human hands, giving it the ability to manipulate a wide range of household items and operate in kitchens, laundries, and living rooms.

The robot's head serves as a mobile AI-powered home control center, equipped with a screen, a speaker, cameras, multiple sensors, and generative voice-based AI. This enables it to communicate with users, learn environments and lifestyle patterns, and control connected appliances based on what it has learned.

The CEO of LG's appliance division emphasized that integrated AI in robots is a key driver for future efforts to make household tasks easier.
